The Alaska Community is where artistry meets connection. We shine a light on local dancers, gymnasts, skaters, educators, and creators, weaving together the stories that make Anchorage’s movement culture thrive. This is our collective stage—curated, inspiring, and always evolving.

Meet Ms. Ashlyn
Ms. Ashlyn has been dancing since she was four and began competing at the age of five. She is pursuing a major in business management and minor in dance to one day open her own dance studio. She has choreographed many theatrical productions around town with companies such as Anchorage Community Theatre, Alaska Theatre of Youth, A.J. Dimond High School, and Triumvirate Valley Productions. She is a dance teacher at Alaska Dance Theatre and Eagle River Ballet teaching tap, jazz, and acro.
We asked Ms. Ashlyn to tell us some fun things about herself! Here is what she said.
What is your favorite dancewear?
”Anything warm! Love the dance booties”
And your favorite warm winter drink?
“Chai with eggnog”
Do you have any advice for dancers?
“Dance for the love of it, and don’t let anyone take that from you!”
